Power Lines Dependable electricity offered at highly competitive rates is provided by Gulf Power Co. for the southern half of Santa Rosa County and by Escambia River Electric for the northern half of the county. Natural gas service is provided by the United Gas Pipe Line Company in many areas of the county, while some customers in the northern section of the county are served by the Jay Oil Field. The City of Milton distributes gas in the central part of the county, and the City of Gulf Breeze is the distributor for the southern portion of the county.

The quantity, quality, and accessibility of ground water in the county is exceptional. With an average regional rainfall of 65 inches per year, the water supply is continually replenished. Great care has been taken to protect the use of runoff and prevent pollution, resulting in excellent quality water which requires almost no treatment or adjustment for most industrial purposes.
